Isaiah Barrett, a 33-year-old Elizabeth resident, Alfred Pierre, a 37-year-old Roselle resident and Daron Thomas, a 32-year-old East Orange resident began their month-long string of crimes last December, committing robberies in Roselle, Linden, Elizabeth and Orange, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said.

In January in Linden, Barrett and Thomas committed both a robbery and a carjacking, prosecutors said.

The trio were charged in four separate indictments, totaling 56 counts, including for robbery in the first degree, carjacking in the first degree and firearms possession in the first degree, Daniel said. Initially arrested in April, they remain incarcerated in Essex County Jail pending an arraignment in July, Daniel said.
